Lovely family lunch, by wood burner on a cold day.

We went for a family lunch. It was a wet cold day but we received a warm welcome from the staff and were seated by a roaring wood burner. My wife and I are veggie and were able to discuss options with the manager and we had separate versions of risotto (mine beetroot and an amazing goats cheese). Our son had the duck which he loved. Everything was relaxed but professional. It flowed well with accompanying veg, perfect sourdough bread, jug of water without asking and my pint was well kept. There were 3 puddings + cheese board so we had the 3 between us. Delightful.
